Our Apartments
The two apartments, located in the Old Barn, are surrounded by private gardens and they have independent entrances and parking spaces. The interior decoration respects the traditional Tuscan style and the original building: stone walls, exposed wooden beams, floors in hand made terracotta tiles, wrought iron beds, antique furniture, all in the best Tuscan tradition.
The ancient farm of San Silvestro belonged to the noble Florentine family of the Gherardini, which was the family of the woman who nowadays is considered the famous Mona Lisa. The farmhouse is located on a hill of Chianti Classico area, right in the heart of Tuscany, between the wonderful cities of Florence and Siena.
The farmhouse, set among vineyards, olive groves, orchards and woods, is the perfect location to spend a relaxing holiday surrounded by nature and to enjoy a 360° view on the most beautiful villages of Chianti.
Activities and Surroundings
Located on the road that connects the mediaeval villages of San Donato in Poggio and Castellina in Chianti, San Silvestro farmhouse is a strategic location for countless activities.
Be guided by the gentle Chianti hills on the Wine Route, walk along the cobbled streets of the art cities of Tuscany, let yourself be overwhelmed by the magical feelings of a horse ride or of a hot hair balloon tour at sunrise.
We will be glad to propose you several alternatives to make your stay unforgettable and highly customized.
Swimming Pool
The private swimming pool is open from May to September and is surrounded by a sun deck, ample green spaces, olive trees and old stone walls. The sounds of Chianti hills will accompany you while you are relaxing in the swimming pool enjoying beautiful sunsets.
Our Products
In our farm we mainly produce grapes for wine and extra virgin olive oil in the best Tuscan tradition. In addition, the orchard and the vegetable garden provide fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables that we are pleased to offer to our guests and friends.
